Chinese-Australian pianist Kelly Liu has a profound passion for integrating mindfulness and playfulness into piano education. She holds a Bachelor of Piano Performance from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and a Master of Secondary Teaching (Music) from the University of New South Wales. As an accomplished chamber musician and dedicated music educator, Kelly has cultivated her artistry under the mentorship of some of Australia's most esteemed pianists and accompanists, including Professor Gerard Willems, Dr. Bernadette Harvey, Professor Philip Shovk, and Professor David Howie.
Kelly made her public concert debut at the age of 14 and has since developed a diverse and extensive repertoire spanning from the Baroque era to Contemporary works. Her artistic journey includes a notable masterclass with internationally renowned concert pianist Paul Lewis in 2015, where she refined her interpretation of Chopin's Ballade No. 4. That same year, she was invited to pursue further studies in England.
In recent years, Kelly has delivered compelling performances of some masterpieces, including Rachmaninoff's complete Musical Moments and Liszt's Concert Etude at the Gala Concert. She also contributed to the Beethoven 250: The Complete Piano Sonatas concert series, commemorating the 250th anniversary of Beethoven’s birth, showcasing her technical skill and deep musicality…
